Frequently asked questions

If I keep my ramp outside, how can I protect it?

If you do keep your ramps outside then we advise that you treat/paint the ramp with either a varnish or exterior grade decking paint and re apply each year. We can advise on what is best to use upon purchase as some varishes can make the ramp too slippery or sticky. We also reccomred covering your ramp with a heavy duty tarp in extreme weather conditions.

What materials are used to build the ramps?

Our ramps are built using high grade BB/BB birch plywood. Birch's core is unlike traditional plywood you may be used to seeing: the layers of inner plys are 1.5 mm-thick solid birch veneer, cross-banded, and laminated with exterior grade adhesive. It’s a recipe that results in a void-free core with a number of advantages including strength, stability and durability to name a few.

We also use tanalized timbers. This provides long term resistance against decay, insects and other wood destroying organisms.
